Great, just have some expectations of what it is. Changed the thermal paste on them, because they were a little crusty and went ahead and replaced the CMOS batteries. Didn’t check the HDDs SMART data but they aren’t running anything critical. Running RAID-5 with ESXi on top of the hardware, the VMs are varies versions of Windows for classes. From what I’ve seen the hardware is maybe moderately worn at worst, they work fine for my EDU lab for learning though. Mine came with what was described but faster HDDs (15k) instead. The RAID card also uses a proprietary battery that I have to look into. The face-plate was partly damaged on one and lots of scratches which is to be expected. The shipping material was only a box with some foam pads, which worked well considering they survived a trip on ground from GA. If I needed more I’d purchase them again.

R. Collette says:

Vendor stands behind product The memory for the RAID controller was bad, but the vendor overnighted a replacement. Excellent service, great product.
