I like this iMac. Haven’t pushed it through all its paces yet. The smaller monitor size is virtually un-noticeable. My 27″ mid 2011 iMac bit the dust — requiring finding a used motherboard and brain surgery. I like this iMac. Even with a mere 8 GB RAM, it seems perkier (well, it is i5 vs i3). Haven’t pushed it through all its paces yet — my Time Machine drive is still at the repair shop with the dead Mac. I’ll pick it up tomorrow. I didn’t realize that 8GB RAM is the limit, the lack of a CD/DVD drive, well, can buy an external. Is it me, or when I was shopping it seemed like there were scads of iMac variations. I don’t NEED a 4K monitor, just a perky Mac, TB drive, RAM to run Dreamweaver or a few programs at once. PS. The smaller monitor size is virtually un-noticeable, and I believe that this is one iteration up from what I stopped at one my old iMac (as I fortunately read in time that some legacy software wouldn’t run on it).

Five Stars best. purchase. ever.

what is better? Solid, inexpensive, works and is a Mac…what is better?
